Dream#
I dreamed that I was pregnant and wanted to find my boyfriend, but ended up in a canyon.
I saw a large pool of water, the water was exceptionally clear and clean, with no water grass, no fish, only stones. There was no path around, so the only way to get to the other side of the canyon was to swim across the pool, luckily the water was not deep.
I started swimming from the water, almost reaching the shore to climb up, but in the process of climbing, because I didn't step on the stones firmly, I fell into the pool. I climbed again, and this time successfully reached the shore.
I walked around a bend and saw a road and a city, feeling very tired, so I called my boyfriend, and he came to pick me up.
On the way back, my stomach suddenly started to ache slightly, so we went to the hospital for a check-up. The doctor said I was pregnant with twins, although one child was lost, the other child was fine...
Analysis#
Dreaming of pregnancy, like reality, is the result of emotions, linking two people, but also revealing fragility and insecurity. Happiness brings worries, no matter what kind of happiness, people always worry about losing it, this is the theme of dreams.
Swimming across the clear pool in the canyon, a scene expresses the dreamer's experience in love.
Through other details, we can discover what she has experienced in her love: no grass, no fish, only stones. The very clear yet not deep water, looks beautiful like a painting, is a simple symbol, but at the same time lacks any life. Because grass and fish are both life, only deep enough water has them, her pool (love) has not experienced too many profound experiences, has not been tested too much, lacks vitality. There are only hard stones, faintly revealing a hint of collision, injury.
So she stumbled on the stones, which represents conflicts in emotions, perhaps a clash in emotions, perhaps hurt by her own stubbornness. But fortunately, she can still try again, just feeling a bit tired. When she was tired, she wanted to call her boyfriend, indicating her inner need for her boyfriend's companionship.
Conflicts always cause damage, pregnancy is the connection of emotions between two people, losing a child is like saying, "Our connection is missing one."
Because the child is gone, it is a permanent injury, a fundamental injury. Just like mentioned at the beginning, happiness is also the beginning of insecurity, happiness is fragile, the dreamer couldn't maintain the happiness, causing it to decrease by half.
Sometimes the injuries in emotions are not necessarily one's or the other's fault, but may also stem from the fragility and insecurity that happiness itself brings.
